What this standard covers, in our words

The international safety standard for lithium cells and batteries in INDUSTRIAL applications. Its scope covers stationary use — telecom, UPS, energy storage, emergency power — and motive use including forklift trucks, GOLF CARTS, automated guided vehicles, railway vehicles and marine vehicles, while excluding road vehicles. Second edition, May 2022.
