Contact & corrections

If something here is wrong, missing, or out of date, we want to know. This page explains what to send, where, and what happens next.

What we would like to receive

Anything that makes a fact on this site checkable, or shows that one is wrong:

  • A correction. A specification, compatibility claim, certification or recall association that does not match the real product. Tell us which page and which figure.
  • A missing product. Particularly a discontinued one. Products whose pages have been taken down are exactly the ones owners struggle to find replacement batteries for, and they are the hardest for us to reach.
  • Official documentation. Spec sheets, owner’s manuals, service manuals, declarations of conformity, certification records, safety notices. Attach the document itself rather than a link where you can — links expire, and a document we hold can still be cited years later.
  • A battery or charger detail we have left blank: a pack’s SKU, its connector, its case type, a charger’s output rating.

Where to send it

Corrections, missing products and documentation: corrections@golfcartpowerindex.com. Attachments are welcome and preferred.

Everything else — listings, partnerships, press, general enquiries: contact@golfcartpowerindex.com.

Please include the page you are writing about, the figure you believe is wrong, and what it should be. If you can point to where the correct value is published — a page, a manual, a label on the product — that is what lets us act on it quickly.

If you make carts, or the parts that go in them, and are not listed

Write to us. This index is added to continuously and is nowhere near complete — if your brand or a model of yours is missing, that means we have not researched it yet, not that we decided against it.

The most useful thing you can send is documentation: specification sheets, owner’s and service manuals, battery and charger datasheets, parts catalogues, declarations of conformity and certification records. A model researched from a manufacturer’s own documents ends up more complete, and more accurate, than one researched from its product page alone.

To be plain about what listing does and does not mean: entries are not bought, and sending us material does not change how it is treated. Every figure is checked against its own source and published with that source beside it, a specification that contradicts another of your own pages is recorded as a contradiction, and a certification claim is recorded as the claim it is unless a certificate supports it. We do not remove or soften a recall on request. That standard is the only reason a listing here is worth having.

What happens to your submission

Every submission is read by a person and checked against its own evidence before anything changes. We do not publish a figure because someone asked us to, including the manufacturer — the same standard applies to a brand’s correction as to anything else on this site.

In practice that means:

  • If you send a document, we read it, record the figure with the document’s own words as the quote, and cite where in the document it appears.
  • If a value you send is not in any source we can check, we will say so rather than publish it. That is not a judgement about you — it is the rule this whole site runs on.
  • If we got something wrong, we fix it and the corrected value carries its source, so a reader can verify it themselves.

What we cannot do

  • Remove a real recall. Recall and safety information published here comes from government regulators — CPSC in the United States, and the equivalent authorities in the EU, UK, Australia, Canada and France. If a record is inaccurate, the correction has to come from the regulator; we will gladly update once their record changes, and we will correct a wrong MATCH between a recall and a product immediately. See recalls.
  • Confirm that a battery fits a cart on request. Compatibility here is evidence-based and tiered, and we cannot raise a claim above what its evidence supports.
  • Certify, test or endorse anything. We are not a laboratory or a certification body — see the disclaimer.

If you believe a figure here is dangerous

Say so in the first line of your message, to corrections@golfcartpowerindex.com. A wrong voltage or a mismatched recall is worth fixing ahead of anything else, and we would rather remove a figure while we check it than leave one up that could cause harm.
