IEC 62660
Secondary lithium-ion cells for the propulsion of electric road vehicles
Published by IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission)

What this standard covers, in our words
A three-part series for the cells inside a ROAD vehicle's traction pack — Part 1 performance testing (2018), Part 2 reliability and abuse testing (2018), Part 3 safety requirements (2022). Part 3's own scope names battery electric and hybrid electric vehicles. It is a CELL standard: it tests cells and cell blocks, on the stated premise that they are afterwards used inside a pack within the limits the cell maker sets. A maker citing "IEC 62660" with no part number has named a series rather than a standard.
This is our summary, not the standard’s own wording — IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) publish the text itself and it is the document to read before relying on anything here.
This standard is an independent claim about the products listed below — holding this certification does not imply compliance with any other standard.
