Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC)

Jurisdiction: Ireland

ccpc.ie

Ireland's competition and consumer protection authority, which publishes product safety notifications — 781 of them back to 4 January 2023 as at 21 September 2026, each typed by the CCPC itself as a product recall or another kind of notification. The notices themselves carry the brand, the product code, the affected batch and the hazard in the Commission's own words.

No notice from Ireland’s Competition and Consumer Protection Commission is published here. That is a statement about our work and not about theirs: it means nothing they have published has both matched this catalogue’s subject — golf carts and the batteries, chargers, motors and controllers they run on — and been read and decided by a person. Their own record is the complete one, and their own search is linked below.

The whole archive is on one page with no pagination, and each notice is then read from its own address. The CCPC publish no per-notice last-modified stamp, so a notice we have already read is not re-read automatically — a notice amended after we read it would not reach us until a deliberate re-read. That is a real limit on how current an Irish record here is, and it is stated rather than hidden.

Ireland’s Competition and Consumer Protection Commission allow their material to be reused and attributed on the terms named above. What those terms say about COMMERCIAL reuse is not settled — either they do not address it or their own pages do not agree — so this page does not claim it is permitted. What this catalogue does either way is the same: their words are marked as theirs and attributed as they ask, our own summaries are marked as ours, and their notice's address is printed beside every quotation. No logo or image of theirs is used anywhere on this site.

Two statements on one page, both quoted because they do not agree. The data re-use policy: "Users are free to re-use the information on this website without seeking prior permission, subject to the conditions set out in our Licence and to the disclaimer below", and "With the exception of logos, images, photographs, video, and third-party material, all the information featured on our website is licensed under the CC-BY 4.0 licence", where "Re-use includes copying, issuing copies to the public, publishing, broadcasting and translating into other languages." CC-BY 4.0 permits commercial use on its face. The copyright notice further down the same page: "It should be noted that the content provided is for information purposes. The content may not be used in a commercial context or for any commercial purposes without the prior written approval of the CCPC." Those cannot both be the whole answer, so neither is treated as one, and commercial reuse is left UNKNOWN rather than resolved in the direction that suits us. Their conditions in any reading: acknowledge the source and their copyright, "Reproduce the information accurately", do not use the information in a misleading way, and do not use it "for the principal purpose of advertising or promoting a particular product or service". Their own prescribed wording for an online reproduction is the attribution recorded above.

This page indexes recalls and safety alerts Ireland’s Competition and Consumer Protection Commission has published that we have ingested from its own official source. It is not the regulator’s own site; their address is printed above and their own search is linked, and theirs is the authoritative record.
