Health Canada allow their material to be reused on the terms named above, and this catalogue uses it on those terms: their words are attributed to them, our own summaries are marked as ours, and their notice's address is printed on every page that quotes them. The licence page gives its own version number: "This is version 2.0 of the Open Government Licence – Canada." Its grant, in its words: "The Information Provider grants you a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive licence to use the Information, including for commercial purposes, subject to the terms below. You are free to: Copy, modify, publish, translate, adapt, distribute or otherwise use the Information in any medium, mode or format for any lawful purpose." Its exemptions are why the logo field is restricted: no right is granted to use "the names, crests, logos, or other official symbols of the Information Provider", nor "third party rights the Information Provider is not authorized to license". ORIGINAL NOTE, KEPT: The Recalls and Safety Alerts dataset is published through the Government of Canada's Open Government Portal (open.canada.ca), whose default licence is the Open Government Licence – Canada, permitting copying, redistribution, and commercial use with attribution This is the portal's standard default licence, not a statement made on the recall dataset's own page. The Government of Canada wordmark and coat of arms are treated as restricted under federal branding policy.
