Product Safety New Zealand (Trading Standards)

The product safety arm of Trading Standards, within New Zealand's Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment. It publishes recall notices for consumer products sold in New Zealand, each at its own permanent address, and every one of them appears in the site's own sitemap — 1,617 of them as at 21 September 2026. A notice names the supplier responsible in New Zealand, which is often a distributor rather than the manufacturer.

We publish one notice from Product Safety New Zealand. Everything listed below was published on February 14, 2025. That is what we hold, not the range of what Product Safety New Zealand has published.

No RSS feed and no API. The whole archive is reachable through the site's XML sitemap, where every notice carries its own lastmod, so an incremental sync is exact rather than approximate. Notices are read from their own pages. robots.txt was read first: it disallows the admin and security areas, the generated-PDF asset folder, any download path, and the error pages. Recall notices are not covered, and none of the disallowed paths is fetched.
