The same Open Government Licence – Canada as Health Canada — the same federal open-data portal, the same default licence — and the licence names its own version: "This is version 2.0 of the Open Government Licence – Canada." Its grant, in its words: "The Information Provider grants you a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive licence to use the Information, including for commercial purposes", and "You are free to: Copy, modify, publish, translate, adapt, distribute or otherwise use the Information in any medium, mode or format for any lawful purpose." The exemptions are why the logo field is restricted rather than permitted: the licence grants no right to use "the names, crests, logos, or other official symbols of the Information Provider", nor "third party rights the Information Provider is not authorized to license". ONE CAVEAT STATED RATHER THAN GLOSSED: this is the portal's standard default licence, confirmed at the portal, rather than a statement published on the recall dataset's own page. Transport Canada supply this catalogue's vehicle recalls, which is why the attribution sentence the licence requires is now printed on every notice rather than assumed discharged by naming the department.
