What this standard covers, in our words

The American National Standard for GOLF CARS: vehicles driven by electric motors or internal combustion engines specifically intended for and used ON GOLF COURSES to transport golfers and their equipment. It covers configurations, safety warnings and tests of mechanical performance, stability and brakes. It does NOT apply to personal transport vehicles, which are covered by ANSI/OPEI Z135, and it is a vehicle standard that says nothing about a battery. Current edition 2020; previously designated ANSI/NGCMA and ANSI/ILTVA Z130.1.
