Fits and is compatible with Factory Controller and Motor (Drop In)

Only a Drive built 2011 to 2016, which Eco chart separately — check yours before buying.

Not established: whether the pack fits this cart's battery bay without trimming, and what the charger must be. The chart gives a verdict per cart and no dimensions.

Eco Battery's own compatibility chart: under “DRIVE 1/G29(11-16)” Eco mark the 51V 105Ah Skinny green: “Fits and is compatible with Factory Controller and Motor (Drop In)”. Eco split this model in two, and under “DRIVE 1/G29(07-10)” Eco mark the 51V 105Ah Skinny blue: “It will fit and work, but our green recommendations are better options.”. Eco's chart is for carts that left the factory with lead-acid batteries.

51V 150AH Battery Bundle / Yamaha Drive / 2011+; 51V 150AH Battery Bundle / Yamaha Drive/G29 / 2007-10

Only the cart Eco Battery name on the bundle itself — Yamaha Drive / 2011+; Yamaha Drive/G29 / 2007-10. They sell this pack for it as a bundle with an install kit, so the fit is to that configuration and not to the model in general. Check yours before buying.

Fits with an adapter or install kit. Eco Battery sell this pack for this cart as a BUNDLE — the battery together with the install kit the cart needs. So the maker is not claiming the pack drops in on its own; they are claiming it fits once their kit is fitted. What is in the kit varies by cart and is listed on the bundle's own page.

Not established: Whether the cart's existing charger and on-board computer work with this pack. Eco Battery sell charge ports, charger pigtails, interlock relays and OBC bypass adapters as separate products, which says a conversion often needs one — but the bundle listing does not say which of them this cart needs. Read the bundle's own contents before buying anything.

Taken from Eco Battery's own product titles, which are how this maker publishes fitment: each bundle is one pack boxed for one named cart. It is the battery's manufacturer making the claim, not the cart's.

Choose from these popular Yamaha models Drive & Drive 2 (48V) Adventurer (48V) G22 / GMAX (48V) G14-G19 (36V)

Only the 48-volt Drive — Allied list "Drive & Drive 2 (48V)" and give no year — check yours before buying.

Not established: how many modules this cart needs, and whether they fit its battery bay. Allied sell this pack in sets of two to eight and point at a sizing chart that is not on the page naming the cart. Yamaha publish no compartment dimensions this catalogue holds.

Allied name this cart on their own Yamaha page under "Choose from these popular Yamaha models", identified by VOLTAGE. The same list puts the G14-G19 generation at 36 volts, so the voltage is the load-bearing part of the entry rather than a label: a reader with the older generation needs a different pack entirely.

Do not fit

The manufacturer states these batteries do not fit this model:

Eco Battery's own compatibility chart marks the 38V 105Ah red under both “DRIVE 1/G29(07-10)” and “DRIVE 1/G29(11-16)”: “Does Not Fit and/or will not work with this cart (Will Require Lots of Modification)”. Eco's chart is for carts that left the factory with lead-acid batteries.

Hazard: The accelerator pedal return spring can break, posing a crash hazard.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled vehicles and contact a Yamaha golf car dealer to schedule a free repair. Yamaha is contacting all registered owners directly.

Our note — not the regulator’s words

Yamaha have recalled this accelerator pedal spring three times: 19701 in October 2018, 23772 in July 2023, and 25321 in June 2025. 25321 is the newest and the widest — about 352,000 vehicles across model years 2016 to 2024 — and it names the other two among the recalls it expands. Its remedy tells owners to stop using the vehicle “even if they have already had their golf car vehicles repaired as part of prior recalls”, and replaces the repair rather than repeating it. So a repair carried out under this 2018 notice is one the 2025 notice says is not enough. Nothing in this notice says that, because it was published seven years earlier. Read 25321 before acting on this page.

Hazard: The accelerator pedal spring can fail to return to idle when a consumer stops pressing the accelerator pedal, posing a crash hazard.

Remedy: Yamaha is expanding the repair to include a free replacement of the accelerator pedal return spring assembly. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled golf car vehicles (even if they have already had their golf car vehicles repaired as part of prior recalls) and contact an authorized Yamaha Golf Car dealer to schedule a free replacement of the accelerator pedal spring assembly. Consumers who received a repair from a prior recall are being contacted directly by Yamaha with additional information about how to schedule the installation of a replacement accelerator pedal spring assembly. Yamaha dealers are prepared to conduct mobile service and/or provide unit transportation if necessary. Yamaha is contacting all registered owners directly.

Our note — not the regulator’s words

Yamaha have recalled this accelerator pedal spring three times: 19701 in October 2018, 23772 in July 2023, and 25321 in June 2025. This is the newest of them and it expands the other two, so it is the one to act on. It covers vehicles already repaired under the earlier notices: its remedy is a replacement of the accelerator pedal return spring assembly, not a re-inspection.

Affected: 2015 | YAMAHA | DRIVE (YDRE), 2015 | YAMAHA | DRIVE (YDRA), 2016 | YAMAHA | DRIVE (YDRA), 2016 | YAMAHA | DRIVE (YDRE), 2017 | YAMAHA | DRIVE2 (DR2A), 2017 | YAMAHA | DRIVE2 (DR2E), 2018 | YAMAHA | DRIVE2 (DR2A)
